We all slept at my moms Christmas Eve.

Cali had the flu about a week before Christmas. Cole got it 2 days later. I got it 2 days after that which was Christmas Eve. 2 days later Cole got it again. A few days later My Mom, Kevin, Robbie, Suzanne, and my Dad, and my friend all got it!!! NOT FUN! Sorry everybody!

PREGO UPDATE: I am due January 28th. It's kind of crazy that both Cali and Cole were due on January 25th. Cole's birthday is the 21st and Cali's is the 25th. January is gonna be a BLAST! I am finally able to get out of bed after being deathly sick from this pregnancy. It's been rough but I am slowly coming out of it.

NEWS: We just sold our house. We are sad to leave it, but excited to move closer to family and friends.

So... this is what the crazy wind did to our new play set!
Luckily we will be able to fix it but it's gonna take some muscles and a lot of sweat!

SUMMA TIME!
We found an injured butterfly and Cali tried to save it. She made a little rock home for it. About 20 minutes later we went to check on it and it was gone. We found it in a bush and it was dead. and it's body was gone! How traumatic for a 4 year old to experience!

While I was coloring my Aunt Suzanne's hair yesterday, Cali sat on her lap, so I decided to brighten up her winter roots. I know... She's only 4. I just couldn't help it. She LOVED it! Did I do something I will regret later? Is she going to want to go dark like me? Well... I won't do it!

Cole wanted to feel like one of the girls, so he HAD to have a foil in his hair. No bleach though.

This is how excited she was!

And done... You can barely tell but at least she doesn't look like she has been sitting in the house for 4 months. Next step, tanning bed and teeth bleaching. Just kidding!

Val leaves behind many people whose lives have been forever changed because of his example of valiant living and his steadfast association and friendship.Born on 4 June 1958, in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, to Myrna Loye Davies and Gary Ellison (raised by Herbert Harker), Val grew up in many places: Provo and Dugway, Utah, Pocatello, Idaho, Calgary, Alberta, and Santa Barbara, California. As a child, Val was known for his mischievous sense of humor and fastidious cleanliness; the family called him "Mr. Clean." He loved Tae Kwon Do, motorcycles, and rock music, especially the band, T. Rex. He was a leading conspirator in various youthful exploits with his siblings Wendy, Lori, and Brian. He made his family laugh and laugh, whether in sacrament meeting giggle sessions or in laugh-til-you-cry marathons around the fireside.In 1976 Val graduated from Santa Barbara High School and a year later served in the Colorado Denver Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. As a boy who "always knew the Church was true," Val blossomed spiritually during his mission. He became an exceptional missionary, baptizing dozens of people, and ultimately served as an Assistant to President Jack Wheatley. During his mission he helped develop a teaching curriculum called "The Lord's Program" that assisted investigators to change their lives in powerful ways.In 1980 Val married Sherrie Ann Payne, with whom he raised five wonderful children: Cory Elvidge (Jared), Jacob (Jamie), Victoria, Tara, and Luke. Val was so proud of them for their personal successes. Before Tara went on her mission, for example, he took her on a trip to the Holy Land where they shared many sacred experiences.Val began his professional life as a banker. He had a keen mind for business, and was soon managing the Santa Barbara branch of County Savings, where he served as an executive vice president. Despite this success, Val recognized that this career path would not help him reach his potential for working with people to improve their lives. So in 1987 he quit his job, moved his family to Provo, Utah, and enrolled at Brigham Young University as a psychology major. Val excelled in school, graduating with his bachelor's degree in only three years. He then began a master's degree in sociology at BYU. During part of this time he supported his family by working as an expert ferrier, shoeing horses for appreciative clients throughout Utah Valley.In 1995 Val began working with the Utah County Government, Substance Abuse Division, as a treatment specialist at Foothill Treatment Center in Springville, Utah. October Festivities...

WITCHES NIGHT OUT at Gardner Village.

There were hundreds of women dressed up in their witch outfits.

GIRLS TRIP IN VEGAS!
My mom took us to Vegas last week for a much needed girls trip. Ky flew in from Florida and it was so fun to hang out with her! We decided to bring Cali along and are so glad we did. She LOVED being a "BIG GIRL".

We saw Lion King. It was AMAZING!

We walked around so much and did tons of shopping.
It was sooooo HOT! 115 degrees at least.

Lately...

My kids have had RSV for about 1 1/2 weeks so we have been stuck in the house. We get so bored and that is when the kids start finding new things to do on their own!

Cole found his new obsession... Eating Crayons! All day long he has a crayon is his mouth. I try to take it away but he screams bloody murder! So now I always have a few in my purse for when we are out and about. Don't worry they are non-toxic and I take them away once his mouth starts turning colors! All I can say is thank goodness for crayons!:)I bought Cali a new set of water colors and a new book. I guess after a few hours she got bored... This is her "I just got caught" face!

I also got bored. I woke up monday morning and decided to paint my kitchen. Before I could talk myself out of it, I went down stairs and found a bucket of paint. Luckily it was almost full. I started to paint and Ta Da!!! It is very green but I needed a change. I was so sick of the same bla color all over my house. Let's just say Kev was very shocked when he came home. It's not like me to paint all by myself. I hate painting. I usually beg him to do it. I just can't believe I finished it in 2 days! normally it would take me 2 weeks! So proud!

Stay tuned for my next project. I'm working on my kitchen table! I need summer!!!

I am OFFICIALLY in trouble!!! I have a major, MAJOR, addiction to these! It happens every year. I go to the store, I see these eggs, I do a double take, and the next thing you know... I have eaten a whole bag! SO, after that I put my foot down, I said, "NO MORE!" and tonight I bought another 2 bags because they were 2 for $5. So of course I could not just buy 1 bag! I'm such a pushover!!! I put them in a big jar in my kitchen so that maybe tomorrow when I have my family over for dinner they will eat them ALL! Wish me luck that I don't gain 50lbs. before Easter is over!

Casey got married in the LA temple so we stayed at Kevin's Grandma's house.

Ice skating and Santa Clause

How cute are those tiny ice skatesThe Dental office that my Mom works for had a Christmas party for all their patients. It was so much fun. We got to see Santa and ice skate and eat doughnuts and hot chocolate. Cali was in heaven.

I was definately not good at ice skating but I did it for Cali.

Cole and Cali were both terrified of Santa but as soon as we said "Cali smile at the camera", she cheesed it with tears in her eyes.

Heck yeah I went to the NKOTB concert!

Natasha Beddingfield and Lady Ga Ga opened. Natasha was really really good. Ga Ga was good but a little Crazy!

Don't you just LOVE this time of year? The flu, colds, snotty noses... So THE POOR LITTLE GUY has the flu. He has been throwing up for 4 days now. It's so sad! I took him to the dr. and he has lost 1lb. He has thrown up more than a normal person would with the flu! We ran out of sheets for him so I started using towels and tucking them into his mattress. Today when he woke up from his nap he had this massive welt on his face. He had moved the towels around and slept on the plastic mattress and his cheek got stuck to it. How sad is that! I'm just praying this was the last day of his sickness. Cali stayed at grammy and papas house all weekend (kirklands) so im crossing my fingers that she doesn't get the flu because she already has a cold.

sO... Cali took over my bed at 7 in the morning. I got up for a minute and when I came back she had already kicked off my pillow and positioned all her barbies like this. Don't ask me why the barbies are naked but for some reason they always are. The barbies wanted to watch a movie so it took me about 10 minutes to look through the stacks of DVDs that are not in their cases and I finally found the one she wanted.Eventually Cole woke up and of course he didn't want to play with anything but the naked barbies. Doesn't he look like he just got caught?

jUsT a FeW tHiNgS...

I'm looking for a new carseat for Cole because he is now 23 lbs. and if I have to carry him in his infant carseat one more time i'm pretty sure it's going to break, and break my arm. So anyway, I saw a cheap cosco one at Target. Has anyone used that one?

I went to Target today and some of you may know I have to ground myself from that dang store or else I spend so much money. Well... I am so proud of myself because probabily for the 1st time ever I only spent $21! And it wasn't even anything fun either. I had to get fabric softener and a few other things that have to do with cleaning.

My 2 year old is controlling my life. (that sounds like something that could be on a talk show:) It's not a new thing so i'm pretty use to it now, but today she did the most amazing thing. I was in my room folding laundry and had to keep getting up every 5 minutes and putting different movies on for her, finally she settled down when I told her if she is not going to take a nap then she has to have "quiet time". About 10 minutes later she yelled "Mom! get me my tinkerbell book!" i said "it's in the family room right by you" she said "NO!" so of course I went in there and she said "Mom, i'ts right here" and pointed to the floor right by the couch where she was laying. Wow! isn't that amazing that she is only 2 and already knows how to be lazy! and bossy! I said "Here you go Queen, but it was right by you and you could have gotten it all by yourself" she said "Yeah!" but I still had to get it for her!

Something that I am so EXCITED about. Our pediatrition told me that I can start giving Cole whole milk instead of formula. That is going to be so nice. I know he is only 9 months but he weighs more than a 2 year old. Gotta love him!

Last night we had Family Home Evening. I was Quizing Cali on the god head and she knew it. Then I asked her who the prophet was and she said "Obama". So I guess we need to have FHE more and stop watching so much T.V.! She also said she is going to vote for Obama. It's funny because we are not really Obama fans but for some reason she is! Then I watched the news this morning and they were saying that when people were voting they went around and asked the little kids who they wanted to vote for and every single kid said Obama. Maybe his name is easier to remember, Oh and also it's probabily because every other commercial has Obama in it!

Every day Cali dresses up like a different princess. She is pretty into Disney if you didn't already know, and I think i'm turning into a "Disney MOM". Ok... so i admit that I watch "The Hills". It's one of those things that you get addicted to because their lives are so much more interesting than yours. BUT... can I just say that I think these two are the most pathetic couple I have ever seen! who agrees with me? Cole is 7 Months!

He is the cuddliest little guy. He is so big, he wears 12-18 clothes and sometimes 18-24! Cole is a mamas boy and I love it! It works out perfectly because Cali is a major dady's girl!

i might be a horrible mom for saying this but... sometimes Cali reminds me of CHUCKY!maybe some of you feel the same way about your kids sometimes, right? My Dad took us to the Stadium of Fire. It was pretty fun except that the kids were so so tired. Cali was tired the entire time until Miley Cirus came out at the end and sang her popular song. I thought Cali was asleep but she hopped right up and said, "I wanna dance" cause all the other kids were. So she stood up in the isle and danced while she was half asleep.

Happy FLU-thersday!

Well Cali had a BIG surprise for Kev for fathersday! thanks Cali! Yes, thats right, we all had the flu for fathersday! Saturday night Cali would not go to sleep so we of course let her sleep in our bed. So around 1 a.m. I got thrown up on. Then Kev got thrown up on. After that, it happened 5 more times. It was a rough night. The next day Kev and I were so sick! My mom came and got Cole and we spent the day feeling yucky! atleast Cali was feeling a lot better by the time me and Kev were sick. So anyway, Kev didn't have the best fathersday ever.

WHAT WAS I DOING 10 YEARS AGO? I was almost 15. started drill team for OHS! getting ready for highschool, and making out with lots and lots of boys! JUST KIDDING!

5 YEARS AGO? Getting ready for my wedding. June 14th. A total stress case.

1 YEAR AGO? Left Cali with my mom and went to Lake Powell with the Kirklands. I was 2 months pregnant with Cole.

YESTERDAY? Woke up about 6 then 7 then 8. Packed up the kids for a long drive to orem. dropped kids off at Kevs moms. Went to work for about 6 hours. picked kids up. had a long drive home to Eagle Mountain. Finally got home and the kids fell asleep so I got about a 20 min nap till kev came home and woke me up. packed up the kids for another long drive back to orem. "are you kidding me?" we had to switch cars with kevs dad. went to Costco. ate dinner at burger supreme "YUCK". finally got home about 10:30 and cleaned my house for Bunco "just had it at my house tonight" and went to bed about 12:30. Not the best day but not the worst.

I can't believe my LIttLe GuY is already 4 1/2 MoNtHs! He is getting so bIG and FaT! I love his cHuNkY bOdY. He's a BiG bAll! Cali is loving being a bIg SiS and is always kIsSiNg and hUggiNg him. Having 2 kids is dEfiNaTeLy lots of work but i LoVe iT So mUcH! Especially when they have GaS aT cHuRcH! I know most of you have experienced being in ReLief sOcIeTy and your kid rips a LoUd OnE and the whole room looks at you! and all you can do is sMiLe and point to the baby!

WOW!!! Don't ever let a guy cut there own hair!

Kev wanted to buzz his head so he first used a #3 on the clippers. Then he saw a few spots that he missed so he went to fix it and forgot he had taken the guard off! and he cut himself!

He tried a #1 but that wasn't short enough!

So he had to shave it as short as it could go!

He was not a very happy camper! I couldn't stop laughing! He was so mad that he is totally bald now but I made him smile for the pictures. It's ok Kev, alteast you have pretty eyes!

COLES BLESSING DAY

We finally got to bless Cole on sunday (now that he is 4 months old)! It took us a while because he kept getting sick. Cole was so sweet and such a good boy all day. We were happy our families could make it on such short notice.
